Lyrics

Still Small Voice

written by John Dotson

1st verse:

I was sitting in a church not knowing what to do.
In the world I’d heard so many lies and I was searching for the truth.
I was pouring out my heart, praying God would enter in
and just when I was wondering how I’d know it was Him

Chorus:

I heard a still small voice, calling my name.
Come and follow me and you will never be the same.
I’ve made some wrong decisions but I made the right choice
that day when I listened to that still small voice.

2nd Verse:

I know the day is coming when He’ll return again
and time as we know it is swiftly coming to an end.
But if my Lord should tarry and they lay me in the ground,
I’ll rise up to meet Him when I hear the trumpet sound.

Chorus:

And I’ll hear a still small voice, calling my name,
“Rise up and follow me, you will never be the same.
You’ve made some wrong decisions but you made the right choice
that day when you listened to that still small voice.

Rise up to live forever, child, you made the right choice
that day when you listened to that still small voice.
