Lyrics

Soul Fillin' Station

Aug 30, 2009 01:11 AM

written by Ronny Hinson

1st Verse:

You can always find a steeple,
a few religious people.
A preacher on the front step shaking everybody’s hand.
A sign shaped like a Bible,
saying “Summer Revival”,
but there’s a million dead churches just fillin’ up an acre of land.

Chorus:

What we need is a soul fillin’ station.
A full service, open 24 hrs a day.
Just pumpin’ that high octane, super salvation.
Where a heart out of gas
can fuel up for a fast get-a-way.

2nd Verse:

Oh, you can have the greatest choir.
Dress them in long, white robe attire.
Or a wall full of trophies, showin’ off that softball team.
But if the people aren’t for prayin’,
well that’s how many’s stayin’ !
Cause there ain’t nobody goin’ up on watered down gasoline.

Repeat Chorus 2 more times
